Privacy Policy

SBC is designed as a local-first budgeting tool. This policy explains what information SBC stores and how advertising services used by the Android app may process information.

Your budget data

Your transactions, balances, debts, savings information, and other budget records are stored locally on your device. SBC does not require you to create an account or connect a bank account, and SBC does not send your budget records to an SBC server.

Backups

If you use SBC's backup feature, the app creates a backup file for you to save. You control where that file is stored or shared. Restoring a backup imports the information in that file onto the device where SBC is running.

Advertising

The Android version of SBC may display advertising provided by Google AdMob. As a result of ad serving, Google and its advertising partners may collect, use, or share information such as device identifiers, IP addresses, advertising identifiers, interactions with ads, and approximate location inferred from an IP address. These services may use technologies such as local storage, identifiers, or similar technologies to provide, measure, personalize, and protect advertising, subject to applicable law and your privacy choices.

SBC does not provide your locally stored budget records to Google AdMob for ad targeting.

Consent and privacy choices

Where required, SBC uses Google's consent-management tools to request or record advertising privacy choices before requesting eligible ads. The choices available to you depend on your location and applicable law.

When privacy options are required for your region, SBC provides a Privacy and cookie settings control in the app so you can review or change eligible advertising privacy choices.

Children

SBC is a general-purpose personal budgeting app and is not directed to children under 13.

Security and device storage

Because budget data is stored on your device, anyone with access to your device or an exported backup may be able to access that information. Device resets, clearing app or site data, uninstalling the app, or loss of the device may result in loss of locally stored information. Keeping a current backup is recommended.

This policy may be updated as SBC's features or third-party services change. The date at the top of this page identifies the latest revision.
